Dayton Washington

A nice town on the route that I really did not explore much. I read in a biking book by Tod Rogers that although this is wheat country it is the home of Seneca Foods and their claim is that they can 37% of the world's asparagus in Dayton. As I was riding by Seneca Foods I was wondering just how much 37% of world asparagus would look like piled in one spot. Would it be a hill or a mountain. Not being into asparagus that much I had a tough time envisioning that concept.

If you can read these markers you will get an idea of how important Dayton was in the history of the area.

Almost every county has a cool looking courthouse.
