Great Falls 2

Although the "great falls " on the Missouri is a lot different/smaller because of dam building than when Lewis and Clark first had to deal with them it is still pretty impressive.

More buffalo decorating, this one in the lobby at the L/K Interpretive Center on the outskirts of Great Falls.

This will provide an idea of what the falls/rapids looked like before its modification.

The Intepretive Center is packed full of excellent displays and information. They also have regular video presentations that tell the complete story of the L/K expedition, what type of country they crossed as well as the native Americans they met along the route.
I spent a lot of time here and came away with a better overall idea of what L/K went through. This place is a must see if you have any interest in Lewis and Clark.
