More pics from road between Umatilla and Walla W@alla



I consider scenes like this one of irrigation systems at work spectacular. Seeing how farmers figured out how to grow crops in this kind of environment is fascinating .



Stopped here yesterday to take a break and was in the middle of a short nap when train came by. The engineer blew his horn about 10 times--either this is near a very dangerous crossing or he was screwing with me.



This shows a good example of the relationship between the natives and the white folks who moved in.



This guy has some great metal dinasour pieces.
