This water tower stands by itself along route 83 and you can not see another structure in any direction.
This was the first wheat combining (harvesting) I have seen to date. This was confirmed today while by a local farmer. He says that the whole area is 1 hot dry day away from a lot of combining. This area of the country is onthe route of the big crews who start in Kansas and combine wheat into Canada. These crews have machines with 36 foot headers and do many many acres each day. I am hoping to see one of them in action in next few days.
In South Dakota I have seen many signs like this which must designate a site where a traffic fatality occured.
